BR 35: London

 London is one of the most famous cities in the world and many people visit there every year. I'm going to tell you about a lot of attractive information of London. I divided 4 topics.

 First topic is about history. We can't believe, but London was a small village by the River Themes two thousand years ago. The name, London comes from the Romans, who came to the River Themes and built houses and other buildings next to the river. They called the town Londinium. It was a rich town, and about 50000 people lived there. As years pass, the town became bigger. Now London is a big and important city in England. 

 Second topic is about parks and garden. I have an image that there are many beautiful parks and gardens in Europe. Of course, London has many nice places to enjoy nature. If you want to feel relax, I recommend you to visit Hyde Park. This is a first park opened to the people of London in the seventeenth century. This place is nice and quiet. You can walk and read books under the trees. Also, you can take a boat on a lake called the Serpentine. 

 Third topic is about museums. There are many museums in London. The British Museum is the biggest in Britain and the oldest museum in the world. It opened in 1759 and has 94 galleries, like a reading room, bookshops, and so on.  Also, we can see the beautiful Great Court at the center of the building. If you want to learn about our world and the people and animals on it, Natural History Museum is best for you. There are dinosaur exhibitions and you can see the moving dinosaurs and many other exciting things. People who like science should visit the Science Museum. There are more than 10000 exhibits and you can learn about the science of the past and today.  

 Fourth topic is about shopping and eating. If you like shopping, London is a good place. You can buy anything in London because most famous shops are in the streets, like Regent Street and Bond Street. On weekends, you can visit some of London's markets. you can get cheap clothes and things for your home in Petticoat Lane market in Middlesex Street. At the market in Portobello Road, you can buy old clocks, chairs, tables, and so on.  When you get hungry, let's eat fish and chips! This is very famous in the UK and I want to try it some day. Enjoying afternoon tea is also nice. You can listen to music, drink tea, and eat delicious food. And don't forget about  pubs. Pub food is cheap and good, so you can feel free to go there. 

 After I finished reading this book, I came to like London more than before. There are many exciting places and things in London. Did you interested in any topics?
